A 365hp V6 with all wheel drive. Reliable, looks good, and probably can satisfy my sporting needs on a back road.
Plus it has been ecoboost sporting credentials.

You should wait for the Fusion Sport. Weighs less, better interior, and hell, it actually has more room on the inside believe it or not.

I almost bought one a couple of times. The 2013+ with the performance pack is a legitimately trackable car. And with a tune, intake, and downpipes you can be in the mid-to-low 12-second range in the 1/4 mile. They are very underrated IMO as far as being a full-size performance sedan.

Haven’t driven this gen, but I loved my ‘97 - most reliable car I’ve had, and that includes 2 Toyotas, a CRX Si, and a Mercedes diesel.

I agree. Looky here.
You should test drive a Chevy SS and a Taurus SHO and give a comparison.

The only thing I don’t like on the Taurus is how the C-pillar drops. They could have done it better.
Other than that, I like it.

They are very nice. Driven plenty of them. They are quicker than you would think, and are VERY comfortable cars. Visibility kinda sucks, and I don’t think it handles that great, but otherwise its a killer. If your looking for the same car on a budget, get an MKS. Now THAT’S a sleeper.

It’s not really bad, it will certainly hustle a little round corners if you wanted to. Just keep in mind that it is a very large, very heavy sedan whose chassis and all wheel drive system are not set up for high performance driving.

Mine was in great shape when I sold it in 2001 - only 2 things wrong with it - wheels had the optional chrome (ick) - and it went through 5 in-trunk CD changers. But that was JBL’s fault, not Ford’s.

Nah - the stock matte wheels looked great. My favorite sort of 5-spokers. But I got a deal on the car because it had cloth interior and none of the fanboys wanted that. Except me - I was a vegetarian at the time and would have had difficulty explaining leather.

Get a 13+ Performance pack or you will regret it. Also the 6f55 doesn't hold up to abuse so get one from an old person.

Bad horseback riding accident, so I gained 45 pounds because I stopped running. Did not stop eating and drinking. Six months vegan took the weight off, then 8 years vegetarian kept it off. Then a beautiful girlfriend in a bikini came to me on the beach bearing a cheeseburger. That was 1996. I’ve never looked back.

Hahaha I wouldn’t either. Sounds like heaven to me. Just add a good Corona with a lime and I think I would become a beach bump. It would beat studying for the LSAT that is for sure!

I am a lawyer. Trust me - go to medical school. Go to business school. Law school is of little value at this point. I am top 10% from a top 25 law school, and I am underemployed. Don’t waste the money.
And the GF was 5'11" 145 and had served in the Marine Corps. Basically, I’d eat whatever she told me to ... and then drop and give her 20.

Hmm well that doesn’t sound too cheerful. Although I am not sure if I want to go to law school and practice. While the idea is attractive I have also interned with the local Republican party in my home town and just the idea of government in general seems appealing. I would love the though of being a judge but I understand that would take a lot of work.
And it sounds like you found yourself a catch with that one!

Poli Sci is perfect for B-School. Or spend a year getting the science courses and go to med school at the University of Hawaii. That’s what I’d do if I had a do over.

Honestly I am not sure I would want that. I have an irrational fear/hatred/disgust of hospitals. But I shall look into alternative options. Who knows, maybe something else well come along if I get this internship this summer at the state house.

I’ve got a buddy at work with one in that blurple color. He loves it and it is damn fast for as big as it is. The best part is it will smoke just about anything off the line if the pavement is wet with that awd. The interior is a bit plasticky - but you forget about that as you hit 110 and are still pulling amazingly hard. It’s the fastest “big” car I’ve ever ridden in.

Fast in a straight line, bloaty and under-steery in the twisties. Don’t get me wrong, I think they look great and have sporting characteristics but not a back road thrasher by any means.
